Sweet luxe

Charbonnel et Walker was founded in 1875, and is one of Britain’s earliest producers of chocolates. the encouragement of Edward VII, (then the Prince of Wales) the
company began life as a partnership between Mrs Walker and Mme. Charbonnel from
the Maison Boissier chocolate house in Paris. The first shop was at 173 New Bond Street
in Mayfair; the shop has remained in Mayfair ever since, and now occupies one of
London’s famous arcades, the Royal Arcade on Old Bond Street. The Royal Warrant
as manufacturers of chocolate to her Majesty The Queen takes the royal
connection up to the present time.
